Addiction and Recovery Over the last two decades, I've worked extensively with various forms of addiction, including alcohol, drugs, sex and love addiction, workaholism, and codependency. I assist individuals at every stage of their recovery, whether they're sober curious, facing challenges in maintaining sobriety, or firmly established in their recovery. A robust support system is essential for both addicts and their families to find hope and healing, and a therapeutic relationship can be a critical part of that system.
I also support adult children of alcoholics and individuals from dysfunctional family backgrounds. Dysfunction within a family system often extends beyond any one member's substance use, shaping how everyone interacts, even across generations. We may not even recognize certain behaviors as dysfunctional because they've been our "normal" for so long. Working together, clients learn about and start to access the incredible resources and opportunities for healing that exist for addicts and people impacted by addiction.
